Select Savings Account - You'll appreciate that as your deposits grow... you'll earn higher rates too! Your Southern Select "Select Savings" account is the key to your credit union membership. A small $25 deposit is all that is required to open and maintain this interest bearing savings account. This is your “membership” account and secures your eligibility for all the other red carpet services available to you at Southern Select. *
Select Money Market Savings - A great spot to park excess cash when you want to earn the highest rate of interest, but can't tie up your cash in a certificate. With a minimum deposit of only $1,000 and five earning levels -- the higher your balance, the more you'll earn! Need to make payments from this account? It's convenient and simple to set up an automatic transfer of the necessary funds to your Southern Select checking account each month!*
Certificates of Deposit - Our Term Share Certificates (CDs) earn competitive interest rates when you can commit to a leaving the funds on deposit for a specific term. Choose terms of 6 months to 3 years, or one of our special, limited time terms. A minimum deposit of $1,000 is required to open and maintain most accounts. These accounts may be automatically renewable and may be subject to penalties for early withdrawal.*
Individual Retirement Accounts - An IRA is one of the best ways to save for retirement by allowing you to invest without paying taxes on the earnings until you begin to make withdrawals. Traditional and Roth IRA's are available. Start with an IRA CD or, with a Systematic IRA Savings begin with as little as $5. Depending on your circumstances, your contributions may be tax-deferred. Please consult your tax advisor to determine tax advantages and which type of IRA is best for you. IRA accounts may be insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).*
Christmas/Club Account - This account is an all-time favorite, and can be hard to find these days... especially one like this… it still pays interest! Use it to make saving easy for the holidays… or any other reason. Direct deposit and automatic deposits are available making it easy and painless to save. A minimum deposit of only $5 is required to open. Funds will be transferred to your primary share account each November. Your account will remain open so you can begin saving again for the next season.*

The SATeens Checking and SATeens Savings accounts are designed for youth ages 13-18. Young people age 18 and older may choose from any of our savings and checking options*. With a minimum deposit of $25 into a savings account and $25 to open a checking account, learn the basics of money management in easy to understand terms. Knowing how to use and apply for products and services will provide financial tools that will last a lifetime. Access these accounts at ATMs, online, soon from your mobile and with SelectConnect Audio banking by phone.
A subscription to BrassCU Magazine is provided as free benefit to every young member ages 15 – 25. Written by young people, BrassCU is a fast read with financial tips for young people looking for success and fun!
This savings account especially for young savers 0 -12 years of age is designed to help educate children about the value of saving money and how they can use the credit union to watch their savings grow. A minimum deposit of $25 is required.

For young people age 13 – under 25. You'll earn an outstanding rate for the entire term on your balance up to $1,000. Open with as little as $100/$1,000 maximum and make additions of $25 or more anytime -- You can even make 4 withdrawals per year for documented college expenses!
Kids Club Treasure Chest 18 Month CD
Makes saving fun for kids under age 13. Open with as little as $100/$1,000 maximum - You'll earn a terrific rate for the entire term on your balance up to $1,000. Make additions of $25 or more anytime. Each week you make a deposit of $25 or more, earns you a Treasure Token. Collect 4 tokens and select a prize from our Treasure Chest!!
Tip for parents and grandparents: consider having allowance automatically credited to your young person's savings account. It's a great lesson in money management!! They can even manage their accounts online.
